I'm Mike Prasad. I'm a Los Angeles native, social media web enthusiast and *some say* young serial entrepreneur. Among other things, I've been called a geek, dork, nerd, gamer, Asian, hapa, a twitter freak, creative, boring, interesting, foolish, hopelessly romantic, idealist, realist, ridiculous, and most recently a human furry (which I'm not, but apparently my hairstyle reminds @martysmind of one he once knew.) I'm all about growth, proud to be part of the web industry, and powered by the energy I experience every day as part of the L.A. tech, web, and social media crowd.
I was lucky enough to grow up around technology and the internet. My worked hard to move up to VP levels within various IT companies, and provided me the opportunity to learn. Because of that I've spent most of my life and career focused on some aspect of community, social media, data aggregation/trending, business development and tech startups. You can see my LinkedIn profile see what I've done, but right now I'm focused on the various responsibilities I have in directing and developing GirlGamer, Black Card Circle, BullSpot, and another super secret project! This summer I also made a personal commitment to help grow structure the burgeoning L.A. web community that I love so much.
The name Wired Ghost is a reference two two animes that heavily influenced my views of technology and its related philosophies. The first part "Wired" is to the series Serial Experiments Lain, and the second part "Ghost" is to Ghost in the Shell.
I've been working behind a computer my whole life, so I've spent a lot of time trying to put together the perfect setup. I think I'm close. For now, here's my base setup.
Computer: Apple Mac Pro 8-core, 4 x 1TB Seagate 7200.11 HDD's, 16GB RAM, Dual NVIDIA 8800GT 512mb
Display: Dell 2408FWP x 3, Wingman Setup 2 in portrait with a landscape in between.
